Born in Fukushima, Live in Tokyo
She goes by the pseudonym of “HADA-Ka.”
This term means “skin specialist,” Phonetically, this word is similar to another Japanese word that means “nakedness.” Using the skin as the main focus, she has created works of art for installations and photography sessions and has created costumes for performances, which can be called new adopted skin. She creates greatly varied forms, experimenting with all kinds of materials, and changes the ordinary into the extraordinary, causing people, or wearers of the new skin, to have a different outlook on themselves and the world around them.
